Company Overview

Global Quest LLC, of which the Black Sea Agriculture investment management company is a division, was formed in early 2005 by its principals, Jeffrey Notaro and David Florov. Global Quest is a real estate investment management company specializing in the emerging markets of Romania and Bulgaria. Black Sea Agriculture represents primarily US private and institutional investors who invest directly or through other investment products. Global Quest LLC is a US company. It is headquartered in New York City and managed by Mr. Notaro. It also has a full-time office in Bulgaria managed by Mr. Florov.

Mr. Florov was born and raised in the US, but key to the success of both Global Quest LLC and its division, Black Sea Agriculture, is Mr. Florov’s Bulgarian family background. Mr. Florov has taken innumerable trips to the Black Sea region over the course of his childhood and adulthood. It was this experience that caused him to recognize Bulgaria and Romania as emerging markets. But it was only after extensive analysis and a lot of local legwork in these two countries that a real estate investment and management company was formed with an emphasis on purchasing or leasing prime farmland.

Company Team

Mr. Notaro has more than two decades of experience in the financial industry. In conjunction with operating Global Quest LLC and its division, Black Sea Agriculture, he operates a successful investment advisory and brokerage business in New York City.

Mr. Notaro began on Wall Street in 1986 after graduating from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. His early experience included positions in the field of institutional equity and bond trading. Beginning in 1991, he joined the brokerage firm of Vision Financial Markets LLC as manager of their Futures trading desk, and later became manager of their Equity trading desk for the newly formed broker-dealer Vision Brokerage Services LLC.

In early 2005 Global Quest LLC was established, and the following year Vector Asset Management LLC was registered with New York State as an investment advisor. Many of the clients of the investment advisor have made investments in real estate through Global Quest LLC and the funds it manages. Mr. Florov’s family background is Bulgarian. He is fluent in three languages; Bulgarian, German and English. His familiarity with the Bulgarian and Romanian cultures, as well as how to do business there, is invaluable to the corporation.

Mr. Florov’s business background is in the financial brokerage industry. He received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Business Management from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University in 1993. He began as a futures broker with EDF Man & Company, in the precious metals and energy pits on the trading floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange. In 2000, Mr. Florov joined Vision Financial Markets LLC, a futures brokerage firm in New York City, where he was responsible for balancing and reconciling Vision’s house trading accounts. In 2005, he began a full-time commitment as a principal of Global Quest LLC and its division, Black Sea Agriculture.
